Watercolor is a fantastic medium, and one that I have explored for many years.   Its incredible versatility has huge appeal for me.  My preference is to use relatively large brushes on heavy paper to create deep, saturated and luminous color.   The use of heavy watercolor papers also contributes to the richness and depth of color that is seen in my artwork. I’m inspired by the wonderful textures and colors that surround us in nature,  on a face in sunlight or a hand in repose.  I strive to recreate some of the beauty that is evident in our everyday lives, and to perhaps take the viewer to a place of reflection and quiet, that is peaceful.
